The association is a recognized discussion partner for key public and political bodies, including EU Institutions, EUIPO, and WIPO, influencing the future of IP rights policy and regulation. ECTA serves as a forum for knowledge exchange among IP professionals, providing resources like position papers and a members-only intranet. It represents the collective opinion of the European IP law community without engaging in lobbying. ECTA’s long-standing work has made it a go-to expert for EU and national decision-makers, raising members’ voices on critical IP issues in the EU.
