Margaux Billen holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven and completed a joint PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Rega Institute (KU Leuven) and the University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK). She brings extensive expertise in chemistry and related disciplines, with a strong focus on synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry, particularly in the context of drug design and discovery.
As a Patent Engineer, Margaux advises and represents clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including competitor patent landscapes, licensing agreements, freedom-to-operate analyses, third-party patent validity, infringement issues, patentability assessments, prosecution, oppositions, and nullity actions. She handles cases in both English and Dutch.
