What is a trademark?

A trademark is an intellectual property right on a sign that distinguishes your products and services from those of your competitors.

This can be:
– a word, an emblem, or a logo
– a three-dimensional shape
– a (combination of) colors
– a sound (jingle), a position, a motion, etc.

A trademark needs to be registered for claiming protection which can be endless in time, as long as it is in use and the registration is renewed (mostly every 10 years).

This is how we empower you:

  • Analyze marketing materials and corporate identity
  • Advise on registrability
  • Assist in drafting long and short lists
  • Defend your trademark before offices
