Door als \u00e9\u00e9n partner, onder de naam Gevers, het aanspreekpunt te worden voor cli\u00ebnten, bieden ze hun een full service op het vlak van intellectuele eigendom \u2013 van registratie tot in de rechtbank. Daarbij komen merkengemachtigden, octrooigemachtigden en advocaten voor het eerst in Belgi\u00eb samen.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De start van deze samenwerking gaat enkele jaren terug in de tijd. V\u00e9ronique Pede, founding partner bij CAPE IP Law: \u201cIk geloof al langer in de kracht van een intensieve samenwerking tussen merken- en octrooigemachtigden en advocaten, iets dat nu nog te weinig gebeurt. Het is vanuit die optiek dat we nu met Gevers in zee gaan. Een gevestigde waarde in de niche IP-sector, die wij met onze kennis en kunde als IP-advocaten zelf nog meer versterken.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bram Dejan, managing partner bij Gevers: \u201cOok ik speel al langer met het idee van een advocaten- en IE-kantoor waar advocaten, merken- en octrooigemachtigden samenwerken. Voor ik bij Gevers werkte, was ik zelf actief als advocaat en merkte dat je niet altijd alle relevante informatie meekrijgt wanneer je op een dossier werkt. We werkten de afgelopen jaren al enkele keren positief samen met CAPE IP Law en voelden aan dat het idee langs beide kanten speelde. Dit voelt dan ook als een logische stap waar we allen beter van worden.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u201cEn niet alleen wijzelf, maar in de eerste plaats onze cli\u00ebnten. Zij vinden nu onder \u00e9\u00e9n dak alle verschillende diensten rond intellectuele eigendom. Dat is vrij uniek in Belgi\u00eb.\u201d V\u00e9ronique Pede: \u201cZe mogen verwachten dat we hier naadloos op elkaar zijn ingespeeld. Ze profiteren van \u00e9\u00e9n aanspreekpunt, waarbij juridische en technische IE-expertise naadloos samengaan. Dat bespaart hun tijd en voorkomt dat cruciale informatie verloren gaat.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sterkhouders-op-nationaal-en-internationaal-vlak-nbsp\">Sterkhouders op nationaal en internationaal vlak&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDeze nieuwe manier van samenwerken maakt dat we sterker staan op alle vlakken. Ons kantoor in Gent zal ook blijven bestaan, waarbij collega\u2019s over alle locaties heen intens zullen samenwerken. Net zoals dat nu ook al gebeurt bij de andere kantoren van Gevers.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bram Dejan: \u201cDeze samenwerking sterkt ons ook in de toekomst, en zorgt dat we optimaal inspelen op de nieuwe Europese octrooirechtbanken, de Unitary Patent Court of UPC. Zowel Gevers als CAPE IP Law is al langer internationaal actief en zal nu ook hier samen gestroomlijnder optreden. We kunnen internationale cli\u00ebnten die een partner nodig hebben in Europa zo beter ondersteunen.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00e9ronique Pede: \u201cIn andere grote IE-landen, zoals Duitsland en Frankrijk, bestaan al soortgelijke samenwerkingen zoals die van ons. Het feit dat dit in Belgi\u00eb nog niet het geval was, toont dat er nog meer werk moet worden gemaakt van de professionele bescherming van intellectuele eigendom. We zijn heel blij dat we dit samen in Belgi\u00eb als eerste kunnen realiseren. Die innovatiedrang is \u2013 naast onze focus op intellectuele eigendom \u2013 wat ons verbindt.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bram Dejan: \u201cSamengevat past deze stap perfect in het verhaal dat we met Gevers aan het schrijven zijn.
